Edsleskogs Wärdshus is a small guesthouse situated in the northern part of Dalsland, between thetowns of Åmål and Bengtsfors.
Our Wärdshus has 10 nice rooms (7 of which are doublerooms and 3 family-rooms). Downstairs we have a diningroom and cosy lounge area around the fireplace. Outside you will find a beautiful garden and terrace with a magnificent view over lake Edslansjön, towards the Baljåsen-hills area.
Wärdshusets kitchen offers “pannkakor/pancakes" , high tea or sandwiches at lunchtime. For our daily specials at dinner time we use a lot of ingredients from the beautiful province of Dalsland.
The village of Edsleskog is situated between the hills of Baljåsen (Dalslands highest point) and the beautiful lake Edslansjön.
A historic site in our village is Edsleskogs kyrkan, once the scene of fire catastrofies and an old murder story. This church played an important part back in the days of Saint Nidaros after whom the Norwegian town of Trondheim was named. An ancient pilgrimspath from the southern part of Sweden still passes through Edsleskog, guiding many hikers and backpackers through the wonderful surrounding areas 
of our Wärdshus.
Edsleskogs Prästgården (Priesthouse) hosts a nice, small museum about the village's history. The perfect way to relax after a great day in the area is at Klöveruds Spa, in Edsleskog!
We welcome all people from the United States who wish to stay in a natural environment. We organise outdoor-activities like canoeing, hillwalking, swimming and dressincycling. This kind of cycling, on an old railway along lakesides and forests, is typical for Dalsland. The Edsleskog area is also the place to be for people who are looking for culture, inspiration, relaxation or physical and mental wellness.
